Mobile View Extension is built to be private by default. In short: the extension does not collect information about you.
What we collect
Mobile View Extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. We do not collect your browsing history, page content, form data, IP address, or any account information.
How the extension works
The extension runs locally in your browser. To display a page in its mobile version, it changes the user agent and viewport of the current tab and reloads it. This processing happens on your device and nothing is sent to us.
Local settings
Your preferences — for example whether the floating toolbar is visible — are saved with the browser storage API on your own device. You can remove them at any time by uninstalling the extension.
Third parties
We do not sell or rent your data. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. The only third-party service involved is Google Analytics on this website, described in the next section.
This website
This website (mobileviewextension.com) is separate from the extension. To understand how the site is used, its pages use two analytics tools: Umami, which we host ourselves, and Google Analytics 4. They record page views, the page you came from, your approximate location, browser, device type and screen size, and how long a page stays visible. Google Analytics uses cookies, and Google processes its data under Google's own privacy policy. None of this reaches the extension or the pages you open with it. We use these statistics only to improve the website and we do not sell them.
Feedback you send us
If you contact us by email or submit the optional uninstall feedback form, we receive only the information you choose to include, such as your message and your email address if you provide one. We use it solely to reply and improve the extension.
Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions required to switch the current page to its mobile version and to remember your toolbar preference.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
